There is a definite slow burn aspect to the Westworld storytelling as the first season leads up to a much more expanded story in the following seasons. It leaves the park behind and explores the bleak futuristic society with a shady tech company at its center. Another show that pushes the boundaries of television in similar ways as Westworld is The Boys.

I will continue to watch what seems to be the 5th and final season but I don't think the series will ever get to the former glory, I sound cliché I know, not all series get worse, but this is the downside of making one of the best seasons right from the scratch.
